The 2018 Celebration of First Kangaroo Care Awareness in 31 MCH –NICU Hospital Ministry of Health. Kangaroo care awareness just begun in Alyamamah Hospital, in Riyadh capital of Saudi Arabia. The highlight of International kangaroo Care Awareness will be in MCH Dammam represent with 31 MCH-NICU Hospital, where they fully implement Kangaroo Care to their unit that support their baby and their parents in implementation.
NICU Saudi Nurses and NIDCAP Trainees are the one initiated to aware professionals in Alyamamah hospital that Kangaroo care is very important especially to all newborns and premature baby in NICU.
It was supported by Hospital Leaders to precede with awareness and same time orient the Hospital to initiate and start kangaroo care (Skin to Skin care).
We start in cutting of Ribbon ceremony, with small presentation the video of Kangaroo care , emphasize what we need on how to initiate and most specially the readiness of staff, parents, baby and the system to support this process. We invite the different level Head nurses and Supervisors maternity and children’s and most specially the Ob-Gyne and NICU Staff and NICU Physician to mark and Celebrate with International Kangaroo Care Awareness Program.
As support from Hospital director and Nursing Level that they were fully support us to initiate this care to our Patient in Alyamamah hospital.
Looking forward for the success of this 2018 International Kangaroo Care Awareness not only in Saudi Arabia and it will be globally.
