Help me congratulate Pamela Madziarz, a Senior Level lll NICU nurse at Golisano Children's Hospital at the University of Rochester, NY.
She is an effective advocate of Kangaroo Care and attended the International Kangaroo Care Certification Conference in Cleveland, under Susan Ludington.
For the past three years, on May 15th, She:
- has placed posters in our 68 bed unit on the benefits of KC,
- made over 200 Kangaroo treat bags, including the logo, stickers,
- made over 200 Kangaroo cookies for all of our parents.
This year she is working with their arts design group and public relations group to have large laminated posters of benefits of KC and actual pictures of mom doing KC with their infant.
She is passionate and welcomes any other ideas to help promote KC and educate staff and parents throughout the year.
